personality
Dionysus is all about the line between civilized and uncivilized behavior. He understands that in order to maintain order and civilization, there must be opportunities to let loose every once in a while. On the surface, he's fairly easygoing and will encourage things like drinking, partying, expressing yourself through the arts, and generally entering a state where normal self control can be let go. However, while he is the life of the party, he's also the one who will be least touched by the ecstatic behavior going on around him.
There is a dark side to Dionysus, though. While he's fair enough to give people plenty of warning before and even after they cross a line, he comes down hard on anyone who challenges/disrespects him or far exceeds normal boundaries. The normal order of things is always restored in the end, but those who fight or give into too much uncivilized behavior will find themselves in trouble. He's all about socially sanctioned forms of release, and madness or death seems to be the result of anything that goes beyond that. While most of Aather will see the carefree and pleasant side that Dionysus presents, the harsh, unbending, and sometimes brutal side will always lurk just under the surface.

physical appearance
Dionysus usually takes the form of a young, beautiful man. Too beautiful, perhaps...and not quite fitting into the ideal form for a Greek youth.
